OCT 12- MetroParks of Butler County: Past, Present, and Future

Chapter Meetings are held the second Monday of the indicated months in the 2nd floor Community Room, Lebanon Citizens National Bank building, 30 Park Place West at 7:30 PM in uptown Oxford unless otherwise noted (n.b.). All meetings are open to the public.

OCT 12- MetroParks of Butler County: Past, Present, and Future. Jason Shamblin, Deputy Director, MetroParks of Butler County 

AMV-Jason Shamblin 11-13-15MetroParks of Butler County will provide an overview of its role as a land management and conservation agency in Butler County. The status of the parks progress since receiving its first consistent funding from the 2010 tax levy will and its organizational philosophy of leveraging resources through collaborations, sponsorships, donations and grants will be discussed and the capital projects successes that are a result of those efforts will also be shared.

Jason Shamblin joined the MetroParks team in September of 2012 as the Deputy Director. Prior to his arrival in Butler County he was the Director of Parks and Recreation for Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Jason also previously worked for the communities of: Grove City and Gahanna. Jason started his career with the YMCA in Akron. He is an alumnus of Ohio University and Hocking College. Jason and his wife Allison have three children, ages 6, 4 and 3. Among his favorite hobbies are: visiting neighboring parks while Geocaching, gardening, and reading.
